22. The "Go for Broke" 442nd Regimental Combat Team, the most decorated unit in the US Army in WW II, comprised solely of Nisei (American soldiers of Japanese heritage, serving in the ETO as many of their families were imprisoned stateside).

I have a close personal relationship with one member of the 442nd that I may describe during the slow off-season. Permit me to add that the 442nd was one of those rare units whose total awards of the Purple Heart medal exceeded the number of men in its ranks. I know of only one other unit (Vietnam) that holds that dubious distinction and I'll save that identification for another day.

Well you need much less help here than in A.

18..It started with a Queen Mary visiting a French Louis. She wanted to golf. He wanted guards nearby to protect and assist. Can you take it?

Kib - I was going to expand a bit on my answer about the 442nd but Wirechief sometimes gets snippy when I editorialize.

Just a year or two ago there was a program on TV about the Japanese internment camps in California where many of the 442nd were recruited. They interviewed several survivng vets. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the show but it was interesting to see the generational and cultural differences within the camps.

14. Oscar

17 Bud light

19. The Hague?
21. Dr, Seuss

23. Bernadette

24..8th? (mebbe 7th)

14..Zorro, did Oscar write it alone or did Felix help? Geordi & VAUC think the fellow should have 2 names--Oscar Wilde.

15..Not "pink", Meyers, but "Pink".

16..Geordi, vtc & Knights give us Holland.

17..The exact name didn't get into zorro's brain box. It's a good thing we have 3 others who pay closer attention to identify Miller Lite.

Since my machine just erased the next 5 answers, I'll send this along & complete it later.

18..Louis' guard is a cadet, pronounced ca-day. The Scots corrupted it into caddie.

19..We've a fivesome with The Hague.

20..Knights is too modest, but accurate with Hawaii, Cal & NM.

21..Another quintet with Dr. Seuss. You are all awarded
green eggs and ham.

More to come.

22..And snippy I will continue to get, vtc, when you can't tell the difference between
an exposition (which is what Kib offers) and an editorial.
Anyway, see Kib.

23..Yes to Bernadette.
Geordi in a quartet:)

24..The 600's, zorro & vtc.

25..I'll Take You There, intones Pinot & VAUC.

I'll announce your grade from the floor of USF at halftime.
