OT: Storm Survivors

I'm thinking of applying for FEMA assistance on a tree in my neighbors yard that is leaning over on my fence. Its a relatively small peach tree. My neighbor is 90 so I think it will fall on me to fix it.

That's basically the extent of my damage other than a week of no power and down limbs.

How did you guys make out?

Check with your insurance company. If your'e in CT Malloy negotiated with several companies to waive deductibles so you might be able to get the tree removed for nothing out of pocket.

Not all deductibles were waived - only the Hurricane deductible - whatever your regulat deductible is would still apply and trees are typically limited to $500 for a claim though it could be a little more depending on your specific policy
