Ohtani is quite a story. To say the Japanese professional league(s?) have a farm system is an understatement. Contrary to their usual practices with youngsters identified as potential pro pitchers, his pitch count was held to approximately 80 every 5 days, because his CT and MRI workup (every kid gets this) revealed his growth plates where still wide open. Worked out pretty well huh?
I hate the mid-week west coast road trip. Going to bed after the Celtics game and if I fall asleep before the bottom of the 1st inning, so be it. I'll catch the highlights in the morning.
