It conflicts with the UConn game but maybe some will tape it and offer their wisdom here.
Matt Buckler of the JI says that CPTVSports is airing a show called:
House Family: A Season in the Life of the Hillhouse High Girls Basketball Team
It is on at 8:00 Friday night....I am sure it will be shown at later dates too.
It is on the New Haven team's season of 2011-2012 as they went for a 4th straight
state title. Bria Holmes was on that team and UConn had some interest in her at some point.
She is now at West Virginia and doing well....very well. The documentary is about their basketball
games but also about what the kids had to deal with off-court in inner city New Haven...including
harrowing violence.
It sounds like a 'must-see' in part due to the emphasis on the lives of the kids when not playing hoops.
