Man I loved watching and listening to this woman. I mean really loved listening to her. More often than not she'd make my ESPN day. Good luck to this woman. Certainly wherever this lady and her voice lands I'll be listening.

Treat yourself to a trip down UConn WBB memory lane with this 2015 article written by Kate Fagen. It's a dandy! This must have been the 6th or 7th time I've read it ...and I always read all the way to the end. ;)

Wishing Kate success in her new endeavors, and I sure hope we get to see/hear from her in the future.

I hope her quote is accurate, because espn has strayed towards exactly what she was seeking for the past 5 years or so.

She was offered a new contract but declined:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2018/11/19/kate-fagan-is-leaving-espn/?utm_term=.747348673ce3

“To continue at ESPN I would have to be immersed in the day-to-day in sports,” Fagan said. “And I found myself more and more interested in other aspects of sports — like how it connects to our culture. That was not going to be the big business of ESPN.”

Kate Fagan is so much more than stats and X's and O's. She has social consciousness, is big-picture journalist. We know she will have an impact on sports reporting and fundamental fairness for all people.
