OT: Sneaker Convention in Hartford this weekend

Anyone ever been? Can you get better deals (considering gas/parking + admission)?

Or is this something for sneaker collectors or those looking for one of a kinds?

I'm considering checking it out Sunday or early Saturday at the XL, but I know nothing about what to expect. I have a couple of young kids in mind as well (Xmas). I figure someone here has been.
