The beauty of GOT is that it can be enjoyed on many levels. Yes, if you merely enjoy nudity you can enjoy it purely as a voyeur.
GOT however can also be enjoyed as pseudo history. You must realize that there were a slew of events, events relating to familial, societal, political and yes mystical histories, that happened before the first episode. All of which pertains to and underlies the acts and motivations of each and every major and minor character in the story. These histories are slowly and organically revealed during the shows seasons. Or of course you can cheat and go online and have it laid out for you. Be warned the past lore is deep and just as involved; there are a vast number of names and family trees.
GOT can be enjoyed as a drawing room political show with all the double dealings, secrets and long/world views the great political dice throwers enjoy and employ. It can be seen as political commentary or as social commentary. For instance in one example, one sees how women, brutalized and treated as second class chattel overcome this stigmata becoming hardened, realistic survivors, and the only ones fit to rule.
It can be seen purely as fantasy with its dragons, undead, near dead, magic and other unlikely or unimaginable events. It can be seen as a show of bombast and sensationalism where viewers are warned not to become attached to characters or perceived story lines. Or you can simply marvel at the mind of G.RR Martin who envisioned this web, this "Strum and Drang" and somehow with this stew of near anachronisms found a world wide nerve.
And yes, if after two seasons of viewing it hasn't struck your nerve it perhaps never will.
