and wondered if good old Mike Carey was still there. He's not, but they brought in somebody who's been successful at other schools.

Dawn Plitzuweit took over from Mike Carey but moved on to Minnesota after just one season. West Virginia is now coached by Mark Kellogg, who was at Stephen F. Austin.

and Carey is an assistant coach at UCF. When Plitzuweit left he was willing to come back, but West Virginia went in a different direction.

For whatever its worth, I see he was honored by West Virginia this past weekend, when they were hosting UCF. With a jersey I think with the number of seasons he was there as the number?
