OT: Ryder Cup starts Friday morning

TV: Golf Channel 7:30-6:00 on Friday
NBC 8-6 on Saturday
NBC 11-5 on Sunday.

Weather forecast is basically nice for northern Minnesota at this time of year.
Euros have won 8 of last 10...yikes!
Alternate shot competition early Friday and Saturday....best ball in the afternoons....12 singles on Sunday.

Waaay back in the day the U.S. Open was held at this course [Hazeltine] when the course was kinda new...unusual selection at that time. Veteran player Dave Hill had a practice round and announced that they had completely ruined a good farm. The course has held majors since then with some redesigns....it would be entertaining to remember that quote on the air....maybe interview Hill for his current wisdom...uhhh...not sure if he is still with us.

Fantastic entertainment thruout....a tad over the top with emotions.
USA gets more points...Euros get fewer...but golf is the big winner.
Sunday's match between Rory and 'Captain America' [Patrick Reed] was eye-popping.

Spent my Sunday watching this (over NFL and Sky playoff game) and was not disappointed. Great day of golf. The Reed-McIlroy match was electric on the front 9. The exchange on 8 (McIlroy bomb followed by Reed 25 footer in response) was one of craziest things I've ever seen in golf.

How about the Garcia-Mickelson match?! 19 birdies between the two. Dueling 63s to halve the match.
