OT: Rutty has lost 6 straight

Not to bash too much because we like Pikiell and Hobbs, but the whole "Rutty is back speak" when they were 10-1 and played no one is now well over.

I mean, they are the ultimate joke, they played 10 175+ teams, several 300+, and their best win is a 71-66 win against 178th ranked Stony Brook. I recall callers telling Francessa that and he was like let me see them in league play.

They are 0-5 in conference so far.

It's obvious then that UConn is positioning itself for a B!G invite based on this season's football and bb results.

Im pretty sure we all remember when we started 11-0 in the 2006-2007 season after playing a weak non conference schedule before finishing 17-14 overall. For a school like Rutgers that is trying to basically start over, I can see where they were coming from playing a weak November and December schedule to give the players a little bit of confidence.

I agree, it was just the cocky nature of "Rutgers basketball is relevant again" a little prematurely.

I do think Pikiell could have success there on a relative basis, make the tourney within 2-3 years.

My main issue is with the word "again."

That Rutgers twitter propaganda about how "players coached by their coaching staff have earned over $1 billion professionally" was the most positive press UConn has gotten in over a year.
