Whatever happened to RutgersAl? Him and Scrappy are/were the eternal optimists. Not sure even Al can stomach just how utterly atrocious Rutgers has become.

Rutger's should just refrain from hiring a staff.

Save the money of coaches and save the fans the agony of thinking a coach can win there.

Just let the players run the team.

Hopefully the next coach will have a spotless resume. Verifiable and true.

Hopefully the next coach will make Jordan look like John Wooden by comparison. I hope the next three coaches are so terrible Rutty fans will look back at Jordan's tenure as a golden age. They can't lose enough as far as I am concerned.

This should be an easy decision even for an inept athletic department. Give Danny Hurley a blank check and call it a day.

What? They beat Minnesota. RU fans have unrealistic expectations.

Once your program becomes established as the bottom feeder of a conference, recruiting there must be a nightmare. I don't see rut girls or BC climbing out for years.

yep and we have newer and better ones in CT right now - plus UConn owns New England and the East in CBB
and their football program brings exactly what?

They'll probably have to throw a pretty penny at Hurley.
What has Hurley really done at URI? Plus, the guy is a raving lunatic on the sidelines. He'd do better than Jordan, but he seems like Mike Rice on steroids.

That's a huge jump. He might get some recruits in. Hurley will do same and actually win.

It's not that huge a jump. They've looked at him before. I think the dude's a scum bag but he would lock New Jersey down and I would imagine his opportunities for scumbaggery would be exponentially increased at the college level. I suppose he'd have to get used to coaching worse players than he does now for a year or two.

Rutgers makes a play at Calhoun with a 5/6 million a year pay day... for 3 years to get them competitive and pick the next coach from his assistants after that.
