Anyone see it yet? The reviews are all over the place.

Perhaps the worst movie I have ever seen.....music is great, but it was one thing having Alec Baldwin singing, put Paul Giamatti? You know a movie is so bad when you don't ever care when Julianne Hough is on the screen. Truly awful. Save your money

Remember a female asked the question. Her perspective may be different, especially if Suzy loves Tom Cruise.

I won't see it until DVD (maybe). Any movie is good to my wife if the violence is not extreme, monsters are unrealistic, devoid of horror, sexual acts are not explicit and the filthy language is tolerable. In other words if the movie puts me to sleep its good to her.

wow, I guess your wife doesn't read the yard. Knowing Suze I doubt she's a Tom Cruise fan.

On the movie I just think conceptually Cruise cannot play an in on the joke meta-type character because he IS the joke and the last thing an audience wants to do is laugh knowingly along with him. Interesting that both he and Adam Sandler did lousy at the box office this weekend. Takes 5+yrs of crap but eventually audiences recognize when you've lost your fastball (and curve & slider etc..).

Suzy hates Tom Cruise ( although I weirdly did not hate Mission Impossible 3) and has no idea who Julianne Hough is. Perhaps she should wait for the DVD...

Bonus points to Dogdeacon for his dead on assessment of me and my taste in movies.

Go see Moonrise Kingdom instead. That's the best movie out there until The Dark Knight Rises.
