Work horse for the 60's Packers, overshadowed somewhat by contemporary Jim Brown, at least in modern memory, but he certainly wasn't disregarded by those who played against him.
One comment from long ago: Jim brown will give you a leg and then take it away from you. Jim Taylor would give a leg to you, then ram it through your chest.

Old number 31, with his flat top hair cut. Always ran the ball hard. Was a load to bring down. Asked no quarter, gave none. Lombardi loved him. A great teammate. RIP Jim Taylor, you are forever a part of Green Bay Packer lore.

Jim Taylor was the quintessential Packer and Lombardi player. He put the power in the famed Green Bay power sweep.

The only better runner of his time was Jim Brown, who was probably the greatest runner and perhaps greatest player of all time.

Interestingly, the best runners in the NFL of that era were named Brown and Taylor, and, in the first year that my high school opened, the starting running backs were also named Brown and Taylor.

RIP, Jim Taylor!
