Had success with the Giants, Colts & Dolphins. Died at 79 from Parkinsons complications.
 
Led the Dolphins to an undefeated regular season.
 
RIP.
I remember reading a book about him as a teenager. He showed a lot of courage as a player and at one point he held the NFL record for consecutive completions...17 IIRC.

It would have to be a well known fact that Morrall was the starting quarterback for the Colts in the 1969 Super Bowl against the Jets. Two years later when the Colts beat the Cowboys in the Super Bowl, one of the Colts' wives made a point of mentioning how happy she was for Earl Morrall.

BTW: There was a bad call in that Super Bowl between Dallas and Baltimore that made the Colts victory possible.
