OT: RIP Craig Sager

At some point, I got to thinking that he was either joking or that he was trying to let show the rest of us how incredibly bad we also dressed. Whichever, he was a real stand-up guy, a really happy spirit, a unique and authentic character, and one of the few talking heads that I seemed to listen to. So very, very sorry to learn this. The impoverished world of sports casting just go a whole lot poorer.

Dang- the ugliest suits in the business will be un-worn on Turner broadcasts.

Sideline reporting won't be the same without ya, Craig. Leukemia is one hell of an affliction, but you fought bravely.

Rest in Peace, my good man...
I remember last Spring, when he made a little comeback. He interviewed Lebron James after a game. I was never a great fan of James, but he spoke with Craig as long as Craig wanted him to, on the sidelines. It touched me, that at the end of the interview, James put his arm around him and wished him the best of luck. You don't see much of that from an NBA player.

I don't know if I'm a Lebron James NBA fan or not--but as a person working and spending to bring Detroit back to life--he and his family get a big big thank you from me--and say lebron--where are your other NBA/NFL friends in this// ??

RIP Craig

RIP Craig.........The good Lord has big plans for you in Heaven........Who will be your 1st Interview? A Rock Star, a Movie Star or some of the former NBA greats players or coaches.......The gates are now open God bless!!

It was always fun to see what Craig would be wearing. He was a solid professional and a good man. I was hoping that his condition was stable or improving, so I'm surprised to hear the bad news. He'll be missed.

You've said it for me, Bags.

Boston Celtics players wearing outrageously bright t-shirts during warm-ups and on bench in honor of Craig.

On a separate note, exactly 50 years ago (12/17/56) Bill Russell signed with the Celtics. He had won NCAA NC, then Olympic Gold and would lead Boston to NBA Championship in 1957. Quite a trifecta in 14 months. :)
