What coach would recruit a player, if a mother like that comes attached?

Lets see,... the coaches at Kentucky, Arizona, UCLA, etc... you need to meet Stanley Johnson's Mom, and Parker Cartwright's Dad.

Brief story...Stanley's Mom coached my son for a short time. Later, when my son was playing for a new team, and she was just watching the game, she went ballistic about a traveling violation on the other team and heatedly confronted me because I applauded the call. Considering she is a good 6" and 60 lbs larger than me...I quickly changed my opinion. We shook hands later...she is a nice lady, but very very vocal. She was always the loudest voice in the gym during Stanley's elementary and junior HS days.

I covered AAU teams for a grassroots basketball site for a couple summers and it sounds like you're describing the typical basketball parent. It's unreal, and the coaches/club directors are even worse. Their players can do no wrong. I can't count the number of angry phone calls I've gotten, not for saying something negative about a player, but for not being overly positive enough. They'd usually give 20-minute rants where I get maybe 2 words in. I wish I knew how many "best players in the country" there were, according to these clowns.
