. . .prevented a disaster on that train in Europe. Details are still incomplete (Saturday a.m.) but appears that the assailant was armed and intent on shooting other passengers until tackled by three intrepid Americans, one of whom was wounded by a box cutter. We gotta be proud of our brave young countrymen. Salute!

The reports are hazy on whether he fired shots and his gun jammed or it jammed from the get go. On of the Americans said it could have been a horror show if that AK had not jammed. The AK ... one of the most if not the most bombproof ARs...jammed. Thank God. I would think it is time for the French Pres. to pin medals on 3 Americans and their money should be no good in Paris.

Not to be picky, but on the evening news they said he was British. There was a 15 second
video interview with him, and he sounded very much the Brit.
