They eat 26 million left on his remaining two years to get rid of him. Apparently did so so that they don't have to include any valuable pieces in a trade to move him. Was never a good fit as he is absolutely not a SF and has the basketball IQ of a peanut.

he refused them because they were horrible deals, you're not going to include first rounders or take back bad deals just to get rid of Smith. That's what Dumars did in the BG deal to Charlotte and it ended up costing the Pistons a lottery pick in this past draft.

Don't even remember what the offers were, but youre probably right. SVG is making bold moves and the pistons will be trending upward if they get a nice draft pick this year. Detroit now joins the tank off on 100. This nba season is super kooky, from the malone firing to this.

I think he goes to the highest bidder with the Pistons making up the difference between the bid and the money they owe him.
