I had no knowledge that [reggie bush sanction] was coming. We thought maybe it wasn't coming because they didn't have anything to get us with. It wasn't five days, it wasn't five weeks. It was five years. Had we known that that was imminent ... I would never have been able to leave under those circumstances. When I look back now, I would have stayed there to do what we needed to do to resolve the problem.

There is a big difference between understanding the class load of 13 kids v. 85 kids. But in both cases, given what these guys are paid, there is no excuse for the coaching staff NOT to be aware. If they weren't, it is because they specifically insulated themselves to ensure plausible deniability.

Most of this is factually incorrect. I'll just suffice it to say that it's hard to keep up with what's going on in San Diego (where his parents were) when you're in LA running a football team. He wasn't driving "luxury cars".. the person who provided these gifts was not a booster for USC or even a fan of USC. He was an ex-con who was trying to be Bush's agent when he went pro. It's astounding how many people STILL don't know any of the facts of the Bush case but talk about it like they do. Google is easy to use.

This very well may well be true, but I'm certain USC knew what was going on once they were forced to do their own investigation in preparation for their defense against NCAA inquiry. So I doubt that PC had "no idea" at the point he left.

Seriously Roy? That's the best you have? You've been a college coach, or assistant, for over 30 years and you have "no idea" what that means? I spent 4 years in college and none in the past 25 years and I know exactly what it means. And by the way, in his quote, Roy even says what he thinks swapping out means. I can't believe someone actually told him to say that. He came across like a complete buffoon. At least to me he did.
