it says their accreditation is "in jeopardy". i have a hard time believing they'd lose accreditation, since there would be so much collateral damage, but you never know

It's just piling on at this point. The regulating body will make some common sense recomendations, check and balance stuff, and PSU will comply. No need to issue the warning. This has never been about academics.

This. The accrediting body is just playing to the crowd and showing some muscle. They are not, and should not, take away PSU's accreditation because of this.

Penn State is vital to central PA's economy. Which is why they didn't even get a death penalty for the football program.

Their Scout board is in meltdown. Students are asking if they should transfer now, before things get worse. People are getting harassed in job interviews.
