Any others?

In the early 2000s I was a member of the Boneyard and an occasional poster. I've only recently re-activated my membership but have been reading the BY continuously for lo these many years. I've also been non-stop lurker on opponent boards. Without question Husky posters have always, IMHO, been far more careful about spelling, grammar, etc. than is the case on most other boards. And much less inclined to engage in "extremist" posting involving junior high bathroom humor, profanity, name calling, and falsities/fantasies. One need only spend 5 minutes reading certain other boards to see the difference.

Correct spelling is not the most important thing in making the world a better place and we all make make mistakes...but continually getting it wrong when writing about another person connotes all sorts of negative stuff.

To paraphrase Geno : "We don't practice until we get it right. We practice until we can't get it wrong."

Ahem. :)

Thanks. ;)

If proper nouns were allowed, Jewell Loyd would be in my list of words for the Spelling Bee contest. Six months ago I asked the sister of a classmate of my son to spell it. She is one the top spelling bees in the San Diego area.
"J-E-W-E-L L-L-O-Y-D" she said without batting an eyelash.

Odyssey Sims - with only one 'M' is one that used to bother me.
I like the attention paid to player names on this board - just a sign of respect. We all make mistakes and we all get hit with spell check corrections from time to time, but generally trying to get another person's name correct is a good thing.

I also appreciate the mods policing the use of 'derogatory' nicknames, especially for coaches.

Have to admit all the variations on the Briana names get away from me, including our own Stewart - hence the frequent use of last names!
Kia vs. Kiah as in Nurse and Stokes seems to cause problems here.:)

Is Maryland's center named Brionna Jones?

We should be grateful dealing with Lobo, Bird, Tuck, Buck, Law, Bent, Moore, Cash, Ralph, and Sales.

Yep, Brionna. The last name is much easier.

If you put the word break one letter earlier, it works.
