Don't think she was injured. She transferred from Kentucky in December of last year, so just now becoming eligible. This is great news. Hate to see key injuries, but especially on the rosters of upcoming opponents. Our favorite team is pretty damned good. As such, they should always want to compete against teams when they are at their best, not hobbled by injury...and I'm sure they do in this case.
OSU is getting just the tough tuneup it needs to be ready for UConn. So far she's 3-8 from the field 2-3 from 3 and has 11 points 3 reb and 3 stls with Oh St. leading ASU 70-27 at the half.
She finished 5-11 fg 2-3 3fg 3-4 ft 5 reb 4 TO and 15 points. UCONN will have a field day if Oh St. turns the ball over like they did tonight against ASU. They had 24 TOs wow... KLS, Williams, and Collier must be careful about fouls though Oh St. will throw waves of Forwards at them and Linnae Harper makes them a little better but I still think UCONN wins by 20+OSU is getting just the tough tuneup it needs to be ready for UConn.
I agree. I expect OSU to be quite physical in an effort to entice the UConn players into committing fouls. Our ladies will have to play smart. The UConn defense will shock OSU. They will have a difficult time scoring half of the 118 points they scored against ASU. UConn should be able to score 85 or more. She finished 5-11 fg 2-3 3fg 3-4 ft 5 reb 4 TO and 15 points.
