OT: Notre Dame cancels in-person classes

"University officials have pinned the surge of infections to an off-campus party, where students didn't wear masks and social distancing wasn't practiced. "

Wow. Didn't see that coming....cough, cough.

The title of this thread says Notre Dame cancels in-person classes but the article says Notre Dame suspends in person classes. Which is it? Cancel is not the same as suspension.

It's both.
"The University of Notre Dame abruptly canceled all in-person classes on Tuesday evening and moved to fully online instruction for at least two weeks"

And today ND announced that football practice has been temporarily suspended as there are now more than 200 positive COVID-19 cases on campus.

NC State announced this afternoon that in person classes for undergraduates will be suspended starting Monday.

With ACC schools increasingly folding up their tents, inquiring minds want to know what's the situation in Durham?

Haven't heard anything bad so far. Unlike the other triangle ACC schools.... Only freshman and sophomores are doing in-person classes this semester... Juniors and Seniors are doing remote classes. Also...its one thing to send kids home from State and that other school.. as 80-82% of their students are from NC. I would guess 85% of the Duke kids are out of state... obviously a bigger deal to send them home.

Why? Can't the local airport handle their parents' jets?
