We live in a country that, while flawed in some ways, gives us some many fundamental freedoms that allow us to live our lives in ways that those in other parts of the world cannot imagine.

If you take these freedoms for granted, please don’t. They are wonderful things, and they have been fought/earned over many painful periods of history.

When the first amendment states that “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech,” it protects all sorts of speech, not just speech with which we agree. This is fundamental and should not be forgotten.

All that said: I don’t believe that a single drop of blood was ever shed on American soil specifically so that in 2016, a North Carolina basketball fan could create a petition to overturn Villanova’s thrilling 77-74 victory in Monday’s national title game because of what amounts to a universal gripe expressed by every fan of every team in every game: poor officiating

Love his conclusion:
There is one twisted part of me that would love to see the NCAA take this matter seriously and actually — somehow — decide to overturn the championship game … only to possibly take it back from UNC once again when all the sanctions from the academic scandal are finally revealed. North Carolina already delayed that inevitability last August, keeping the hopes of a national title alive this season.

Sorry, UNC fans, if you don’t like that last part. Just exercising my freedom over here.

Dear NCAA.

If when you've finished looking into this trivial North Carolina matter I've a far more important infringement for you to investigate. If you please could you look into overturning UConn's victory over Syracuse which occurred on 4-5-16. First, this victory was a clear violation of NCAA rules of fair play, in that UConn refused to play fair. This team used its superior players to its advantage throughout the game and used its superior coaching to obviously thwart Syracuse's zone press and 2/3 half court zone variations. Second, these coaches knew of these advantages before hand without giving Syracuse fair warning. Third, the officials must have been complicit in some way. Fourth, your current rules which will not allow players to leave before their graduating class is illegal. Those so called seniors should have left Storrs years ago. Fifth, one of them was supposed to be a red shirt, but I couldn't pick her out because they were all wearing white. An obvious disguise. This is clearly cheating. Sixth, I'm losing count. Seventh I believe comes after sixth. If you could resolve this matter with more than deliberate speed we would all be indebted to you for the betterment of the sport.

Dear NCAA,

I have to report an unfair game play between UConn and Syracuse in the NCAAW NC.
UConn clearly has much better players than Syracuse, thus, it is not a faire competition.

Is it still April 1? Must have been the first time UNC ever got a bad call, I guess.

JordyG, that was absolutely hilarious. Tears came to my eyes from laughing. Mark Emmert might just do it.

I believe there is a great legal case to take away ALL wins of the UConn team for at least the last 4 years. It is obvious all opposing players did not have the opportunity to play on an even field. There are 4 examples of the disparage of losing coaches vs the UConn staff. This set up a situation that immediately disables Uconn opponents from competing. Conditioning too raises its evil head--MARINES, paid for and supported by TAX dollars are used to "train" Uconn players, including (can you believe this) WALK-ON's. The greatest factor that separates Uconn into a CRIMINAL element is RECRUITING. It would appear, by circumstantial evidence, that something above and beyond the normal has appeared in Storrs perpetuated by the Coaching Staff and with collusion of the ADMINISTRATION that somehow forces top talent to partake of the UCONN criminal acts---Maya Moore, somehow was transported by two Uconn Alum players, themselves in Europe, was this teletransporting?? SyFi?? Paranormal? There is evidence of a less recruited player forced to lose weight then played with abandon to win yet another NC--Circumstantial EVIDENCE--yes--but where there is smoke there is FIRE and UConn WOMENS BB must be aflame!!!
All decent Flag waving, Fresh air breathing, Women's Basketball Fans must join us in demanding the US Supreme Court (minus 1) to immediately hear our FACTUAL case against UCONN.

" . . . a complete investigation into the officials as it was them that decided the game"

Sounds like the grammar of my cousins in central Texas!

Heck even Kibitzer knows it shoulda ben uses guys onlyis it ain't what was sed. The function of AMERICAN (sometimes called American English) is to communicate--if the phrase was understood--communication was completed. In 3rd grade English corrections are required--not for adults since what was intended was communicated....

Furthermore I feel it necessary to append my name to head of the list of Supreme Court candidates where, if selected, will forthwith adjudicate this matter. Your humble servant, blah, blah, blah.

I'm a politician, and since that is the sum and substance of any and all that I say that should be enough. Ask me later in my campaign and I shall attempt to clarify by essentially saying "And so on" or "That is not a subject which is appropriate for discussion at this time", or just "Blah". And please, call me (Mr) Jord.

Broadway, this is great. If you want to fan the flames a little bit, or "poke the bear", post this on a few of the other top 10's fan boards. I'm sure they would get a kick out of it. This would make some of them sit up straight, and grab those keyboards. If you did, I'd love to read some of the responses it would generate. Heh heh heh. :D

You will rarely, rarely ever hear a UNC fan admit any of this last bit, so I'm giving him a complete and total pass on everything else
