Rory McIlroy is eligible to play for either Ireland or Britain in the Olympic games in Rio.
Either choice would anger some of his fan base and I just read that he may solve the matter by not playing at all.
BTW: about a year ago Rory ticked off all of his Euro fans by declaring that he preferred 'American' golf over links play. i.e. playing through the air with more 'target golf'...better weather....over playing in wind/playing on the ground/slower greens etc.
