OT - NFL TV

I'm not in the "no game due to NFL rules" area on this map but was curious to know why NYC only has two games on TV last Sunday. It's not the first time this year it's happened. Weird that the NFL doesn't give that market all the games it gives the rest of the country

This is very common in New York. Each Team has to be on exclusively in their market. That means that the Jets get a game and the Giants get a game. Only time it does not happen is when one of the teams plays Monday Night, Thursday night or Sunday night. Nature of two teams in on market. Also why when the NFL starts playing on Saturday (I assume they still do that) the one team will play each day. Also the teams cannot play at the same time.

There is only one Saturday game this year, week 16. It is in place of MNF since Christmas falls on Monday. The Thursday night slate has basically replaced Saturdays.
