Honest question. What is bizarre about it?

They are using former NFL athletes to determine a baseline to use when testing. Seems like a very reasonable way to handle it. What am I missing?

or is the agenda to eventually just say the upside of HGH use is greater then the downside and just allow a certain amount of it in the league. Watch the video. Currently the NFL doesn't test for HGH and the feeling is that the players don't want it to be banned because the sport is too violent to survive without it.

Oh, the video. My flash needs updating, the video didn't play for me, so I just read the article.

I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up allowing and regulating it. If it's safe, why not? If it leads to bigger hits and more head trauma it's a bad idea.

Eh, weight training and strength conditioning leads to bigger hits too. I say let them all take it. I'm in the minority that just doesn't care. As long as what they're taking is legal, and they assume the risks to their health outweigh the rewards......have at it.

No thanks, Dangerous enough already. I don't want it to morph into some violent video game. These guys have families and even though they would assume the risks what do you tell a kid that dad just became a vegetable after he was hit by a human freak battering ram. Who knows what the long term effects are. Football was just as good back in the day before players started flying around almost spearing guys with no regard for their own safety. The older timers are suffering now from TBI, do something about the Helmets and let it go at that. Sure if it promotes healing ok but not to get back on the field before your ready. A football career is so short as it is let the owners cough up some money as guaranteed even for all the players not just the established super stars.

There's natural ways to build up. But I am surprised to see them care for HGH. Wrong sport to care for that, unfortunately.
