Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the ads here primarily driven by an individual's recent search activity (e.g Google AdSense)?

Although I'm wondering if Google is watching me through this screen as the ad I just got was for CVS and a special on AngelSoft toilet paper. And I just took a dump.
