This inept organization known as the NCAA needs to get out of the investigative business and hire outside people. Convicted con man can't sell his story to the Miami Herald, can't sell it to local sports radio, finds someone ready to run with the story in Yahoo and the NCAA just falls into line. Two years they have spent looking into this. To date they have found a handful of players that received a few thousand in benefits and punished them with one and two game suspensions. They found players listed in the story that could not be proven to have taken anything. They have harrassed former players by sending them letters that basically state "talk or else", although no one can guess what "or else" actually means. And now they have a compromised investigation because it seems that Shapiro's attorney was connected with them somehow.
They are an utter joke and instead of crying about some alleged rulebreakers getting away with something, everyone should focus their anger on the fact that these idiots actually have the authority to conduct these investigations. They clearly are not up to the task.
