OT: NC State Vs Va Tech

NC fouled up 3, Va Tech made the first and missed the 2nd and got the tip in on the miss. It was a blatant lane violation but that can happen when you have incompetent college refs. There's an instance where fouling up 3 doesn't always work.

That said, I do agree with you, Whaler, that fouling is the best call. But statistics don't necessarily bear it out.

Statistically, they're close. Closer than I thought.

But, were I a coach, I would foul up three under 5-7 seconds left.

I agree with this except with a team that is abysmal at getting rebounds particularly this UConn team. And if RS has shown us anything, in the heat of a game, players aren't always aware of how much time is left on the clock.
