So I am getting ridiculed by the folks who work for me because I am not going out to watch the Atlas V take the new NASA lander to Mars tonight at 0405 in the morning.

I understand it is a once in a lifetime thing to see the first interplanetary launch from the west coast of the United States but I have seen 6 launches since I've been out west and they all pretty much look the same...meaning I'll be asleep until the sound of the rocket wakes my dogs.

Am I taking the wrong perspective here? Is anyone out on the east coast watching it online at 0705 in the morning?
