Who was this? 16 – My father served in the Army Air Force stationed in England as a Ground Mechanic with the 388th Bomb. Group (H). What did the “H” mean? 17 – His bomb group flew the B-17, nicknamed The ? ? 18 – From time to time, he was transported to another base to work as a ground mechanic on the secret “Project Aphrodite”, which cost Joe Kennedy Jr his life.
