This doesn't seem to be hugely different from the typical NFL season, but they just screwed up the Ray Rice situation so bad that it's magnifying everything at this point.
 
Hit his four year old with a switch. I'm not a parent so I have no expertise in disciplining a child and his lawyer said this is what he received when he was a kid but this has to be way over the line.

I wouldn't have done that but I have done things that others wouldn't have done. This one isn't for me to judge.
