This insider trading story is old. Phil denied it and the media dropped it without ever asking the obvious question: Phil, did you buy the stock in question and if so, when?

Then Phil ran into trouble with laundering over a $ million of gambling money through, I believe, the Caymen Islands.

If this had been Tiger there would have been editorials from harig and Chamblee calling for a lifetime ban and the removal of his wins from the record books.

Those questions really don't matter one iota. The only thing that matters is if they can prove Mickelson knew the tip was based on not yet public information or if he was a knowing conduit. Might tough row to hoe for the Government. Think James Spader's character in Wall Street.
