@tcf15 Bummer. I know we were dreaming of LSU being the team to beat in the SEC about a week ago.

Wow, neither staying hurts them big time inside. Both are a little undersized, but would've been great college players next year. LSU has a nasty recruiting class and could potentially get even better if they land Newman. Should be a good team still, but they are going to have problems with the big man play, which bodes well for Kentucky.

Yeah, that's a huge hit for them. Rolling out a starting 5 of Newman, Blakeney, Simmons, Mickey and Martin would have been one of the best in the country. Shame that it won't happen.

Yea but the SEC money brought in two elite talents for them next year in Simmons and Blakeley. Blakeley was also saying how LSU was making a big push for Malik Newman. Its really hard to recruit against schools in that conference when they are playing by a whole different set of rules. Regardless, they should be really good next year. Had these two guys stayed, I would have said they'd be a Top 5/10 team.

That 1 hurts LSU. Still have Victor eligible in December. Even with Newman that front court is pretty bare. My crystalized ball says Miss State for Newman. Note my ball has a 43.50% accuracy rating. :(

It will be fascinating to see what Bobby Portis does @ Arky. He seems to be dragging his feet. His stock is just outside the lotto. How excited is everyone about his decision? The fun never ends...:)

no worries the squid will be coaching in the NBA next year, so Kentucky will take a hit too
