At last weekend's New England Championships in Maine Windsor senior Dan Jamieson
ran a 10.47 in the 100 meters to win it....I think that is a PR. He also won the 200 in 21.17....also a PR I believe.
Last week the JI's Matt Buckler quoted the Windsor coach as saying that Dan was going to UConn next year. That is a great pick-up...his times are getting to the nationally elite level.

Toss in that Windsor junior Sydnee Over [Mom a former Canadien Olympian] won the 800 meters in a PR of 2:08.41....I think that is about 3 full seconds lower than her prior best...a huge one-time drop...that signals more to come for sure. Hope that Sydnee is looking at UConn as well.

Both of them ran on relay teams as well.....winning ones. I hope they get invitations to a couple of the upcoming all-star meets where the nation's best gather. Run just one event maybe and see where they stand.

Super job overall by Windsor High girls and boys.

Definitely a great time - although not 3 seconds of improvement over her prior best. She ran a 2:09.7 last year as a soph.

For national perspective, a New Jersey girl ran 2:02.61 on the same day. And Bronxville's brilliant sophomore, Mary Cain, has run 2:03.34. She also has a 4:16.5 1500 (#1 in the U.S.).
