Phil Mickelson says there are "a number" of PGA Tour pros who "are loose" with marking their golf balls - Golf Digest Yikes! Cutting through the verbiage Phil Mickelson says that several players on the PGA tour move their ball several inches forward when remarking it from the original coin position. He is not talking about the Lexi Thompson incident... unintentionally moving the ball less than an inch...he clearly is accusing them of intentionally improving their ball position...i.e. cheating. All players are supposed to protect the field by calling officials over to evaluate what happened and issue a penalty if deemed appropriate. Phil apparently doesn't feel this obligation applies to him. The Golf Channel...imo...will do its best to ignore this given The Masters is going on.
