OT: Leonard signs max contract

I'm really glad for him, he's a former college player I really respected, and seems to be a great NBA team mate. S&it, if we'd lost to SDSU (and somehow didn't have 36 Kemba points), I'd probably been routing for that team that season. Kawhi flows in the tradition of Spurs big men who seem selfless. It almost seems that team, aging, is realizing just how badly they need a new star to maintain the caliber of character and culture expected of that uniform.

Its hard to not like Kawhi, he does everything right, he's not a flopper, he doesn't whine and moan when he gets a foul. He goes out there and gives 100% effort, doesn't let emotion get in the way, or let any out at all really.

Wing not a big, that contract is probably going to look like a bargain once the new salary cap comes into place.

We're probably going to be seeing some strange "max" contracts this offseason, since nearly all of them will be bargains in the coming NBA landscape.
