I loved the Ewing, Starks, Oakley Knickerbocker teams, and I like the franchise. I love basketball, and I follow the teams of former Huskies with more interest (see Celtics, Boston and Allen, Ray). But, I would like to see the Knicks be relevant again and win the championship. I think Linsanity was one of the better Knicks moments since the '90's.

Linsanity I think was great for all sports. An Asian American from the Ivy League makes a name for himself for the New York Knicks. Unreal scenario that we all got witness.

I'm not proclaiming championships but I do think the Knicks have something the 90's Knicks didn't have and thats two dangerous all stars at the peak of their careers. Ewing is my favorite player of all time and I loved Starks, and LJ when he was a Knick but LJ was already on the decline when he came here. Ewing never had that bonafide perennial all star while he was at his peak and always ran into Jordan who denied a ring to many hall of famers. Not to mention that Tyson Chandler is the first DPOY in the HISTORY of the franchise, this freaking season can't start soon enough.

Anywhoo, that 4-point play was amazing. I was in college at the time, and nursing a very bad hangover. I got up enough strength to watch one of the most exciting playoff games of all time (fortunately)!

The Knickerbockers were Dutch settlers in New York.

That's awesome, I read that wrong the first time. There's a new tv show coming out called Copper about early times in NY (when Harlem was nothing but farmland) will you be watching it?

Copper is a drama television series created by Tom Fontana (writer/producer for such series as Oz (which he also created), The Jury, The Beat, The Bedford Diaries, Homicide: Life on the Street, St. Elsewhere, and The Philanthropist.) and Will Rokos that will be broadcast on BBC America. It is set in 1860s New York City during the aftermath of the American Civil War and stars Tom Weston-Jones as an Irish immigrant cop who patrols the Five Points neighborhood. Other cast members include Kyle Schmid, Anastasia Griffith, and Franka Potente.

The series is BBC America's first original scripted program after previously only airing shows from the United Kingdom and co-productions. Fontana, Rokos, Barry Levinson and Christina Wayne are executive producers of the series. The first season will premiere on August 19, 2012.

If you have cablevision, it's on channel 101. It looks like a pretty good show and I'm looking forward to watching it.
