Total bust. They can't get any worse, although being a Knicks fan, picking a new GM will tell you what direction they're heading. No giving up draft picks.

Jackson was like McArthur in Korea. He had great successes in previous campaigns, but he was out of his depth with this team. McArthur had no answer for the Chinese onslaught, and Jackson had no clue what to do with the Knicks.

I think the last straw was his threat to trade KP. KP had no need for the Knicks, and Jackson's threat was just a gratuitous and mean. Jackson simply wasn't making inroads, and when the players rebelled, he didn't know what to do.

Jackson's reputation over many years will still be that of a great coach. People will probably be willing to overlook the Knicks episode.

But the Knicks definitely needed to move on.

Great move...... fire the GM AFTER the draft  Though the french guy they drafted might turn out to be a good player.... not sure they should have passed on Monk and Smith Jr. As a Hornet fan.... Im not mad at them...... Monk falling to #11 was a scenario that was unexpected, but certainly welcome

What is with the Knicks' obsession with European players? Hasn't worked out that well for them.

What's to rejoice? A fish rots from the head and the stench from the owner's rot far preceded Jackson. The NY Knicks will continue to be irrelevant as long as Dolan remains its owner, which probably means another 10 years at least. Ten more years while basketball, its fans and the media gives the Knicks nothing but lookaway passes. Rejoice? My heart is broken.
