I jinxed him, he just missed 4 threes in a row. Just hit another, 52 points with 14 threes.

I'm pretty sure I didn't hit 14 3's in my brief and not illustrious basketball career. Not bad for a night's work.

Curry just set a League record last night by hitting 5+ 3's in 7 consecutive games. Those guys can shoot the rock a little bit.

2 best shooters in nba history and Klay imo is a better pure shooter than Curry

Admire steph. Emulate klay.
Not many guys in the league can add as much to their team's scoring totals having the ball in their hands as little as Klay. He's the perfect compliment to the modern day star PG.

The one bummer is the Warriors are so good they always take him out when he's epically going off. He probably could have gone off for 80 in one of these games...

What does that mean, pure shooter? I think its vogue to create an artificial construct to get to a 'take' that Klay is actually better than Curry. Ironically this is only an interesting take because Curry is obviously better.

I think they are about the same shooting wise, I give Steph a slight nod because he can create his shot better and even has more range, Klay is the better catch and shoot shooter and can even go more nuclear than Steph. My guess is Methodology means Klay has the prettier shot.

You pretty much said it. steph can create his own. Klay is catch and shoot and when he's in the zone steph can't even touch him

It is debatable with his scoring outbursts that Klay is equal as a 'streak' shooter, but you have to simutaneously acknowledge that Curry scores more and has had more high scoring games. Either on fire is must-see TV. I don't know that Klay is better at catch and shoot, it'd be interesting to see those isolated stats. Objectively Curry is a better shooter by stats, and even moreso subjectively accounting for higher degree of difficulty off the dribble. Also if Curry were Klay's height?!

Last season:
FT: Steph 92.1%, Thompson 83.7% (this is as close to pure shooting as you can get, 5.9 vs 1.3 attempts)
3Pt: S-42.3, T-44.0% (9.8 vs 7.1 attempts)
2pt: S-59.5. T-52.6% (7.1 vs 9.0 attempts)
eFG%: S-61.8%, T-58.5%
Career:
FT: Steph 90.4%, Thompson 85.3% (these guys are crazy consistent!)
3Pt: S-43.8, T-42.0%
2pt: S-51.4. T-48.7%
eFG%: S-58.0%, T-55.0%
True Shooting Percentage: S-62.3%, T-57.5% (I mean it is uncanny how consistent they both are)

isnt this a bias given that the 3 point line was only introduced in 1979? How do you include every game in history?
I think Ray Allen was pretty much considered the best shooter ever before Steph and Klay came along. I'm not old enough to have followed everyone but I'm not aware of any shooters who were better?

Washington Generals D > Chicago Bulls D. Was Riley Pitcoff refereeing? 92-50 at halftime. My Bulls are missing three starters but the halftime score is unacceptable. Maybe Freddy has to go.

That's funny I just sent that tweet to my friend an hour ago. Really is impressive though.
So when Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in an NBA game he had 49 at 29:59 and then tallied 51 over the last 18 minutes?!
Its an incredible heat check, but the never been done before aspect is manipulative. Kobe scored 81 in 42 minutes, David Thompson 73 in 43, Karl Malone 61 in 33 etc...
My job is to piss in the klay thompson cheerios today.

He was referencing the fact that the tweet cites 150,000 NBA games in history when there wasn't even a 3-point line prior to 1979. Why cite those games in the tweet?

Yes, Klay scored more per minute than Kobe and Malone.

I still think Klay's most impressive feat was when he scored 37 point in that 3rd quarter- 37 points in 9:45, 18 points in the last 3 minutes. Shooting- 13-13 from the field 9-9 on threes.

Agree, the most points in a quarter is indisputable (other than 3's) & probably most emblematic of Klay's otherworldly heat check abilities. No need to create an artificial construct to make it seem like his is the first basketball shoe on the moon.
