SMU will start spring practice on Monday, preparing for its inaugural season in the conference formerly known as the Big East.
Coming off a victory in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl, their fourth straight bowl, the Mustangs will have 15 practices in the spring. Most of the workouts are closed to the public, but high school coaches are welcomed to attend. They should call Tam Hollingshead, director of high school relations, at 214-768-1631 to arrange for field access. All practices are scheduled to being at 7 a.m.
Spring practice will wrap up on SMU’s Founders’ Day Weekend, April 20. The final practice will be open to the public, and fans can get autographs from current and former players. The Fan Fare, which starts at 9 a.m. at Pettus Field, will include kids’ activities and other events.
