And the women's winner only washed down what, 40 hot dogs? This is why first night got canceled this year, folks. You can't train a woman to eat like a man but you can train a man to think like a woman. If Chestnut trained with the ladies he'd have thought he was full after 40 dogs.

Calm down champs. The post was only to note that the women's board posted this first.

I can't imagine what you'd feel like after eating 70 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

Chestnut says it's awful and he just takes Pepto and prays that he can get to sleep to digest it all.

Chestnut has a UConn connection. He drank a bunch of beers with CAHUSKY after setting the world record for rib eating at the Reno Best in the West a rib cookoff last year.

Ps. This is CAHUSKY when he was a fat, drunk guy and before he lost 55lbs.
Pss. Ok, I'm not fat anymore but I'm still a drunk guy.

How about how you would feel if you ate 70 hot dogs in a day, or even a week? Never mind 10 minutes thats insane to even digest.

When you really think about it, anyone in the world can enter the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest. So Chestnut's 10 titles are against the entire planet. He gets 10 minutes to beat the world and he goes out and does it. That's a true American sports icon.
Actually Chestnut's greatest rival, Takera Kobayashi, hasn't been allowed at Nathan's since 2009 (contract dispute). They've bested each other in other contests over the years.

Why we need to put an asterisk on Joey Chestnut's hot dog eating dynasty

Is Joey Chestnut the greatest athlete of our time? Maybe. Just maybe.

The only other guy I put slightly ahead is Kelly Slater (11x Champ). Incredible success. Incredible longevity. Incredible separation from the pack skill and competitiveness-wise. Shark Tamer. Global ambassador. And he's was better looking than Chestnut.

Far more difficult to conquer the world in surfing, what with the amount of competition, the parity, the inherent variability in waves, and the length of tour. To win 11x is like 20x in professional eating. Let's see how Chestnut performs on the back end of his career as he ages.

Plus, the guy even built his own wave! First of it's kind. Let's see Chestnut do that

At the very least, it's:

Slater > Chestnut >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Geno
