Looks like Stan Van Gundy will have final say on all personnel decisions. Apparently, the Pistons are hoping they can create the same synergy that exists in San Antonio, where coach Gregg Popovich has the ultimate say and works with GM R.C. Buford (Executive of the Year this season).
An interesting side note, Bower seems to like UCONN players. He drafted Uncle Hilty in 2006 and traded Tyson Chandler for Emeka a few years later...

Well he may have a shot at Daniels if Daniels slides. Napier isn't dropping that far.

I'm not sure how much Piston fans like UConn players. Seems like a love-hate relationship (Drummond/Rip/Cliff vs Ben/Charlie). I do think Daniels could fit well at the three with Drummond and one of Smith/Monroe.

Bower got has a sketchy record, but is no doubt a LIFER. Goes from GM to coaching at marist to GM again...Hopefully SVG doesn't have the same penchant of overpaying guys over the hill (Peja). Really pulling for DET and Dre... first order of business get that clown jennings out of there.
