OT Issue with this site?

Has anyone else experienced any problems with this site lately? My internet connection is good and I have no issues with speed on other sites but for the last couple of weeks my response time on this site has been awful. I often end up having to click on a thread more than once to open it and most times it takes a long time. Again, I have no problems on other sites and I tried this one on my laptop...same thing...so I don't think it's my computer. Anyone have any ideas?

It's not an easy site to load - if your connection isn't very fast, it's going to lag.

A lot of objects, a lot of scripts and a lot of ads - plus, it's just a big download.

I've had a lot of trouble using Chrome here lately as well.

I've found the site not useable - it's slow, breaks down, doesn't even react at times. Even tapatalk connection isn't functioning.

It's not chrome - have tried it in all three major browsers and same deal. It's the site. I'm not sure if it's a bunch of ads loading in java or something that jams it up, but something isn't right. It blows right now.

I have problems from my work computer like this that have been going on for 2-3 weeks. At home I have no issues. I don't want to ask my IT people why I'm having problems with the Boneyard!

Crappy servers hosting this site is a possible culprit. Plus ad servers are not always colocated with the site host. The site host has to reach out to the ad server so that everything loads in a coordinated way. Plus choke points with Internet connections illustrate the multiple points of failure that can cause a website to load like frozen motor oil. Use firefox with the secuirty ad on which stops ads from loading.

Yeah, I started a similiar thread a month ago, and 7-8 responded with similiar problems.
Pathetically slow, and my computer/carrier is high speed.
The other issue, in there, should be a "next thread" icon. I have to go back to the "UConn basketball" icon before I can go to the next topic further slowing matters down.

My Macbook at home has no issue. My work laptop using IE is awful. Other sites on work laptop I have no issues.
