I'm probably one of the few people who could care less about the Mini - but I understand why Apple made a move with the smaller form factor. Seems to be a popular corner of the tech sandbox these days.
I was actually [pleasantly] surprised by the 4th-gen iPad. Maybe that's because I didn't buy the 3rd-gen version earlier this year...
...There are a few unhappy folks out there - but I digress.
I think I will be taking the 4th-gen plunge in the next few months. Many poo-poo'd the high res Retina display....but for me this is actually the crucial, must-have feature. I know the iPad 2 is more than enough for surfing websites and running lots of apps, making many people happy.
I think I'll have to make sure and purchase my new iPad by the time we play Duke at our place in January... we'll see if it properly renders the deep red color of blood on the floor in high-def!!**
