I wish I could do justice to what I just saw. For those of you who aren't familiar with the site Twitch, it's a live stream site that started as justin.tv and found its foothold broadcasting people playing videogames. It recently broadened itself to musicians as well and tonight a 71 year old piano playing savant found his way to the front page of reddit and other social media outlets like Twitter and ultimately found himself playing for over 60,000 people at once. It was plainly apparent that what was happening was coming as a shock to both he his loved ones supporting him in the room and he was giving that joy back to everyone with each song. I'm sure there will be some press about this tomorrow and possibly an appearance or two on the talk show circuit. Just a really cool thing to watch happen in real time.
