When exactly is your brothers birthday? Can't you guys leave and arrive a day earlier? Trip is still far away. Offer to pay the rebooking fees.

You're right Dan ... what the hell was I thinking???

Lurker - Tell your brother-in-law you'll go to his 40th birthday golf outing to Ireland next year ... but only if he schedules his birthday during the UCONN football off season. Where are your priorities??? :D

Sorry I'm late to respond to this one. The correct answer is that a good brother-in-law doesn't celebrate his birthday during the UConn-Michigan game. It's like people who are born on the 4th of July; it's better if they celebrate it on the 3rd... ;)

I agree with Jimmy and Chin. I don't find this to be a choice in the least and I was primarily a Michigan fan before UConn went D1A.

DVR the game and enjoy your Guiness, corned beef, and "Gof". Don't forget to bring back a uniform from the Captain of the Links at St. Andrews.

I have a dilemma myself and was going to start a new thread but then saw this one......my friend(fellow season ticket holder) originally scheduled his wedding for Sept 14th in Vermont(near Canada border). So I was going to have to miss Maryland. Tough pill to swallow but at least it was not the Michigan game.

Well something happened and he is now moving the wedding a week to the Michigan game. I am seriously on the fence about what to do and am leaning towards the game. I mean its not my fault the wedding was moved right?

have very similar situation - Wife's best friend from college sent save date long time ago and I saw the Sept 21 and cringed. Was hoping it would be MD weekend, but wasn't. Wife and I have had mulitple discussions. Biggest argument from me is "Dont you want me to want to be there?" her response "You wouldn't 'want' to be there even if there wasn't this game." She went to all her friends weddings without me when I was in Army so she her friends think I'm Snuffaluffagus. Her brother-in-law's wedding cost me the BC game at Rent (only game i missed in first 6 years). It will be interesting to see how this ends

Who the heck gets married during football season? Especially a UConn football season ticket holder. He simply cannot allow that to happen.

I feel sorry for this guy already.

I got married on Sept. 18. Only other days were mid-August (way too hot), Sept 11 (obvious reasons) or in October. On the other hand, very few things get in the way of a UConn home game.

I booked my tickets today and am flying in and out of Newark so I can travel with everyone else in my party. I land at 8:25am on Saturday the 21st.

I'm praying for a 3pm start but will be at the game regardless. My liver might not be with me but the rest of me should be good to go.
