No treme, but am halfway through season 2 of The Wire. Love shows that focus on character development over crazy plot twists, and this is one of the better shows when it comes to that.
This was my experience too. I watched Season 1 and kept hoping something would happen. It never did and I just deleted it from the DVR after that - can't believe it is still on.Huge fan of The Wire and have watched all 5 seasons twice now. Gutted through season 1 of Treme. Couldn't get through more than 3 or 4 episodes of season 2 and pulled up the tent stakes.
Too slow. No storylines that truly hook me in. The music is great, but I just throw "Treme" on as a Pandora station and get a lot of it that way.
Treme is pretty good but it hasn't really gone anywhere. I enjoy it for it's music and that it's a slice of life of how regular people in New Orleans live. If you enjoy good music you will watch just for that, some legendary performers on the show. Curb went way downhill the last season. I like Boardwalk a lot but really miss The Wire, Six Feet Under and The Sopranos. I highly doubt David Simon is blowing anyone at hbo to keep it on the air, The Wire got tty rating too but many people now consider it the best tv show ever.
Back when The Wire was on many critics and fans thought it was one of the best ever. NO ONE is saying the same thing about the steaming pile of sh it that is Treme, The Wire got tty rating too but many people now consider it the best tv show ever.
+1I said The Wire didn't get good ratings when it was on, it has gotten huge over the years from word of mouth and praise from critics, similar to how Shawshank and Heat were box office flops but made a killing on video and tv. Treme has actually gotten a lot of critical praise and I know many people who are fans of the show. I think David Simon has done a great job of capturing New Orleans culture and people. These are all just opinions and I think your opinions are steaming piles of .
