by the way. Anybody like Korean fried chicken? Its my 2nd favorite way. And its like crack. The only thing that puts nashville over the top for me is the heat because Im personally a heat fiend, but sans heat in the equation Korean is my favorite.

Crazy good. My brother has lived in Seoul for 6 years now and I would go back again just for the chicken. Some good places in Koreatown in NYC too.

Use this as a starting point? I think we've talked about some of his recipes before; his cookbook is great.

This thread's question if answered by Jim Gaffigan:

"Have you ever had the blazing wings from Buffalo Wild Wings?"
    "No"
    "Why not?"
"Because I don't want blazing wings from Buffalo Wild Wings diarrhea"

Very close to my breading technique except for the Vodka. gonna try that. The corn starch is key in Korean.

But it is really the sauce (and Im trying to nail a particular place in the east village) and the under the breading flavor on the chicken that are flummoxing me.

at my place a cook clued me in saying they rub the chicking with really finely minced fresh onion and garlic first.

Since I have already pissed off my wife by telling her I was planning attend this Melee, is this actually happening? My diet over the next 72 hours (not to mention weekend plans) is hanging in the balance.

For those of you who have not scarred you digestive tissue from your mouth to the far end, this the way I cook wings. On the grill at about 400, put down a layer of the stickless Al foil. Spray with Pam or equivalent. Put down the skin side pieces skin side down. The mini drum sticks anyways. After 20 minutes flip em. Then Franks hot sauce coating them. You can stop there or cook 15 minutes and flip and recoat. Cook until the sauce slightly brown up.

I have had many people say these are the best wings they have ever had. Spicy with modest heat.
